Maple Leafs bet on Nicholas Robertson in 2nd round paying off.

When The Leafs took the podium with their 1st pick in The 2019 NHL Entry Draft (53rd overall) they took 5’9 Left Winger Nicholas Robertson as Leafs Nation sighed ‘ yet another small forward’.

Robertson however was to good for managment to pass on, although a smaller figure often tends to lean their skill set towards ‘playmaker’, Nick has an impressive goal scoring ability much like a Alex Debrincat.

In 54 games as a 16/17 year old with Peterborough last year Robertson burried 27 goals and had 55 points in a secondary role which is expected to increase drastically with a top 6 role.

With recent Marlies Graduates in Trevor Moore & Andreas Johnsson cracking The Big Clubs roster both coming in at 5’10 it appears to be a direction Kyle Dubas is going in.

Remember the name Nicholas Robertson, he is going to be turning heads as he develops.
