William Nylander hitting his stride right when Maple Leafs need it most.

With just 22 games remaining until playoff hockey Maple Leafs William Nylander is playing like we all expected him to.

He has not only found his production (9 points in his last 13 games) his hands and foot speed have reached mid season form as well, at times dominating the offensive zone with the puck.

After holding out for 28 games to start the season for contract negotiations William had what seemed like all of leafs nation against him with constant criticism and pleads to trade him however those have silenced substantially as of late.

Ontop of playing a much better game Mike Babcock has put his trust in Nylander as replacing Nazem Kadri as the 3rd line center while Kadri is out with a concussion, Something the swedish winger was quite accustomed to and taking a lot of faceoffs while playing alongside Matthews in his 1st 2 years. He currently has a faceoff off percentage of 53% and in his last 4 games with more trust in the faceoff circle he has a 76% success rate.

Often at times Leafs Nation can be quite harsh but for now William Nylander has silenced the doubters.
