Do You Want Moore?

Trevor Moore who joined The Maple Leafs organization in 2016 as an undrafted player out of University has left a lasting impression in his handful of games with the big club.

In his 1st two seasons with the Maple Leafs affiliate The Toronto Marlies Moore had subpar numbers with 25 goals and 66 points in 125 games however one thing stood out to not only Keefe but the Maple Leafs head office, Work ethic.

With a new sense of confidence and being rewarded not only with the Marlies but during Camp with the Maple Leafs he has set a new career high in goals (19) and is on pace to shatter his career high of 33 points (in 57 games) as he currently has 26 in just 30 games.

When Maple Leafs leading 4th line producer Tyler Ennis suffered a broken ankle after blocking a Morgan Rielly point shot the Maple Leafs called up Trevor Moore who recorded 1 goal and 3 points in 6 games.

With Zach Hyman back from injury and Gauthier not being waiver eligible the Maple Leafs elected to return Moore to the Marlies.

As we enter the 2nd half of the season, heading towards a playoff run with our 4th line struggling to produce since the demotion of the gritty, speedy forward. We ask you Leafs Nation, Do you want Moore?

  1. Moore is fast and is a hard worker. I have a feeling Moore is at best a 3rd liner but probably a 4th liner. Unfortunately we signed Ennis and Lindholm when we had better players who are homegrown on the AHL champions. We have to continue to promote our farm players creating hope much like the Lightning have proved to be successful.
